Everest Base Camp Trek (E.B.C. Trek) is a famous challenging trek in Khumbu, Nepal
Famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and the loyalty and friendliness of its inhabitants (the Sherpas), the Everest region (Khumbu) is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Nepal. While many of the routes through the mountains are arduous, there are ample places to rest and enjoy a meal along the way. Furthermore, don't worry about getting lost. Just ask a local the way to the next village on your route, and they will direct you. Most Sherpas under the age of fifty can at least understand basic English, and many speak it fluently. While trekking is possible in this area the whole year round, the best times to visit are from the beginning of March to mid May and from the beginning of September to mid November. The winters are very cold and snow may make it difficult to travel higher than Tengboche, and also lodges may be closed above this altitude. Summers, on the other hand, are wet, and the spectacular peaks are often lost in the clouds. Nowhere in the world is it more spectacular than in the Everest region. It's where four of the world's six tallest peaks Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu rise above everything else, crowning the towering ridges that straddle the forbidding Himalayans. The Everest Base Camp trek is the grandest walk in the land of the Himalayas. Trekking through the Everest region offers astounding mountain views, and opportunities to get a glimpse into the life of world famous climbers (the Sherpas); to go sightseeing around Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site that is home to a variety of Himalayan floras and faunas; to get a closer look at the highest Buddhist monasteries in the world; and, of course, the most gratifying of them all, the trip to Everest Base Camp itself. It's an opportunity to embark on an epic journey that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set off on in 1953. But nothing beats the thrill and sense of accomplishment that grips you on seeing the power and grace of the mighty Everest up close

It's really an amazing mountain hike with awesome views, very nice people and great experiences!!! It's not too difficult, the only difficulty is to walk 4-9 hours in such a high altitude like you'll have it on the trek… but if you're motivated and you take your time (if you have it…) it's no problem!!!
P.s. Diamox sucks, ginger and garlic rule 😉
