Bridges of the Northern Areas, Pakistan
Pakistan Zindabad! Even crossing a simple bridge can be an adventure in the country's Northern Areas. From personal experience this is something that Pakistan and India have in common. Some indigenous farm villages have no contact with the modern world and with the "services" which the nation state offers. That is why one of the primary projects of such countries is transportation infrastructure. In the case of this nation, although an ally of the United States of America, I doubt if as an Israeli citizen I will be able to visit these bridge sites.
